Copal trees grow in the tropical forests of Mexico and Central America, where their fragrant resin has been gathered and burned as incense for centuries. Often referred to as “Food of the Gods,” copal has long been valued for its radiant aroma and its place in ritual and ceremonial traditions throughout Mesoamerica.

Our Aromatic Resin Perfume Oils are composed entirely from natural plant materials including aromatic tree resins, essential oils, and botanical absolutes.

Some of the resins are foraged by us directly, while others are sourced from growers and harvesters who work closely with these plants in their native regions. We seek out exceptional resins and aromatic materials wherever they are produced.

The resins are slowly infused into organic jojoba oil using gentle heat and time. This process captures the deeper aromatic profile of the whole resin rather than isolating only the essential oil, creating a rich true-to-resin aromatic fragrance.

Many of the essential oils used in this collection are distilled in small batches in our own studio, allowing us to work closely with the plants and shape the aromatic character of each fragrance.

Each perfume oil is blended and poured in small batches at our studio on Vashon Island.

How to Use
