Labdanum Aromatic Resin Perfume Oil reveals the deep amber fragrance of one of perfumery’s most treasured resins. Rich labdanum resin is slowly infused into organic jojoba oil and paired with labdanum absolute and essential oil distilled from the same plant, creating a fragrance layered with dark balsamic warmth.

Labdanum comes from a Mediterranean shrub commonly known as rockrose. When the leaves and branches warm under the summer sun they release a sticky aromatic resin prized for its complex scent of jammy figs, soft leather, and sweet balsam.

For centuries labdanum has been one of the great building blocks of fragrance, lending warmth and depth to many iconic perfumes. Yet the resin itself is rarely experienced on its own. This perfume offers a chance to encounter the true character of labdanum — dark, resinous, and quietly radiant.

Whole Resin Perfumery

Our Aromatic Resin Perfume Oils are composed entirely from natural plant materials including aromatic tree resins, essential oils, and botanical absolutes.

Some of the resins are foraged by us directly, while others are sourced from growers and harvesters who work closely with these plants in their native regions. We seek out exceptional resins and aromatic materials wherever they are produced.

The resins are slowly infused into organic jojoba oil using gentle heat and time. This process captures the deeper aromatic profile of the whole resin rather than isolating only the essential oil, creating a rich true-to-resin aromatic fragrance.

Many of the essential oils used in this collection are distilled in small batches in our own studio, allowing us to work closely with the plants and shape the aromatic character of each fragrance.

Each perfume oil is blended and poured in small batches at our studio on Vashon Island.

How to Use
