Ocote Smudge Sticks

The word Ocote comes from the nahuatl language Ocotl, which means "Tea from a pine tree". It comes from the very heart of the candlewood pine trees which inhabit Mexico where it is salvaged from fallen trees.

Ocote smudge sticks are rich in thick aromatic oils that light easily when introduced to a flame. The sacred smoke released from these sticks carries with it the rich and creamy fragrance of sweet mystical resinous pine.

For thousands of years, Ocote has commonly been used by indigenous people during ceremonies and prayers. Use it to remove negative energy, and to focus your intention. Soothing, calming, and excellent for centering yourself - before, or after, a long day out in the mundane world.

2 oz by weight of resin-rich ocote pine wood. Natural variations in color, shape, and visible resin are expected.

HOW TO USE

Burn a small piece in a stable, heatproof holder in a well-ventilated space. Keep away from flammable materials, children, and pets. Never leave burning or smoldering incense unattended. Extinguish completely after use.
