Desert Magic is a wildcrafted herbal balm for dry skin, made with sagebrush, purple sage, mugwort, and yarrow. These aromatic plants are infused into organic oils and blended with shea butter, kokum butter, and local beeswax to soften rough skin and help retain moisture.

Gathered in sagebrush country

We forage sagebrush, purple sage, mugwort, and yarrow ourselves in the dry, open landscapes of eastern Washington. Their layered, sagey character brings the scent of sagebrush country into the finished balm.

Plants with a history

Sagebrush, purple sage, mugwort, and yarrow have histories in herbal practice that extend well beyond their fragrance. Ethnobotanical records describe preparations ranging from leaf infusions to washes and poultices. Desert Magic is our own formulation, bringing these personally foraged plants together in a buttery, aromatic balm.

Texture & scent

Buttery and easy to spread, Desert Magic offers a lighter feel and absorbs more readily than our Gentle Giants Tree Resin Balm. Reach for it when you want the richness of a balm without such a substantial lingering layer.

Its scent is complex and distinctly herbal, with sagebrush and purple sage at the heart of the blend. This is the aroma of the infused plants—not an added fragrance.

How to use

Warm a small amount between clean fingertips and massage onto clean, intact skin. Start with a little and apply more as needed.
